Dear Auntie Rida, Yasma and Family, Ramsay and Family,
You have all been on my mind, in my heart, and in my prayers all week. Basil's determination and his toughness, along with the enourmous love surrounding him from family and friends will make him pull through.
If there is anything, anything I can do, please do not hesitate to ask.

Yousif Asfour

Dear Auntie Rida, Yasma, Ramsi, and family,

Basil is in our thoughts and prayers. My family has not stopped thinking and talking about him since the incident. Basil's strength and leadership have always been evident since we started playing together in nursery! I'm not surprised at all that everyone I talk with here in Dubai is a friend of Basil's and is very concerned about his well being. We are sure that with Basil's strength and the love surrounding him, Basil will endure. If there is anything my family and I can do for any of you, please let us know.

Love,

Yousif, Brenda, Joumana, Dahnia, and Rasha Asfour

Najwa Haffaar

Dear dear Rida, Our thoughts have been with you since that horrendous moment on 14 February. All we ever talk about or think about is Basil's ordeal and what you are all going through. Rosy and I met at Kawther's yesterday, exchanged information. Hilda Hembekides called me several times to know your news.

We are all praying for Basil and Kawther and I will be attending the service in Wardieh tomorrow.

Our love to you, Ramzi and Yasma. God bless

Najwa and Kamal (Haffar)

Julie Saad

Basil and all of you have been and continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

Dearest Yasma, Auntie Rida, Ramzi and Family,
I want you to know that you are all on our mind and in our hearts and prayers every minute of the day since Monday morning. All we think of is Basil since that horrible incident. Here in Houston, we will have a prayer circle started with the AUB Alumni chapter on Sunday. We will continue to pray for Basil everyday. Let us know if there is anything we can do from here.
May the Lord bestow his love and blessing on all of you.
We love you. We are praying with you continuously.
Hang on, Basil!

Nizar Hamade

The Hamade Family in Northern California is praying for the quick recovery of our hero Basil Fleihan. We share your pain in these difficult and trying times. Mr. Fleihan and his family is in our hearts and mind. We Lebanese are blessed to have a man such as Basil Fleihan be an integral part of the Lebanon we all love and cherish. Please do not hesitate to call on us with anything you may need. You can depend on us.

God Bless You,

Nizar Hamade

Ramzi Obeid

Our hearts (and I speak for the entire Obeid family) go out to our dear friends the Fuleihan family. Our thoughts are with them and with Basil all the time.
Basil has now become more than flesh and blood. He represents an ideal. A fantastic person with spotless integrity who chose to be in government simply to help his fellow Lebanese improve their lives. Other than Basil, how many of those are there?
Let us all cling desperately to the hope that this ideal does not perish. Let us pray that Basil survives and recovers as much and as soon as possible.
There is a special place in hell reserved for whoever planned and executed this crime and I have my strong suspicions which I will not share at this point.

Ramzi Obeid

Rabih Suki

Dear Fuleihan Family,

Basil in our thoughts and prayers. We are still in shock and cannot imagine what kind of criminal would do something like this. Our promise to you is to keep Basil's dream for a better Lebanon alive and strong.

Your friends and family in Houston.

God Bless,

Dima and Rabih

Fadi Haddad and family

Basil,
I knew you since we were kids. Since then, you proved to all of us that there was no obstacle you could not overcome. I truely believe that, once again, you will overcome your injuries and will return to Lebanon to continue to serve OUR country. You are the pride of every hard working Lebanese. Basil, you are in our prayers, asking God to heal you as soon as possible.

Faysal EL-Kak and AUB alumni/Bekaa

We just came back from "al wardieh",,,
the whole scene was a ritual of love and hope: the prayers, the crowd, the friends, the serenity, and the grief show how much love bassil had in all those hearts.
This love will give more hope, and more salvation.
In his speech to AUB alumni in Bekaa couple of years ago,,, most met him, and heard him for the first time, and all loved him afterwards.
All those, send their prayers and wishes and ask God to bless you and us always

Roy Boecker

We pray and hope that your determination, strong sense of purpose and immense fighting spirit which have helped you achieve so much and to overcome this despicable aggression, will continue to guide you throughout your recovery. Your family, friends and country all need you - fight on!

Naji Rachid

I don't know you Basil, but I promise you that I will devote part of my energy everyday to your healing.... until you recover.
