"A vigil and candlelight procession for Dr Basil’s recovery and to support his family was held at the chapel of Johann Ludwig Schneller Institute, Khirbat Qanafar, West Beqaa, Lebanon on Monday, April 4th, 2005 at 07.00 pm.
Our beloved Basil, Yasma, and Basil's mother are close friends and partners in supporting the humanitarian and social work of Johann Ludwig Schneller Institute. Hundreds of children, staff, friends, and people from Schneller and surrounding towns and villages prayed earnestly for Basil's recovery and for his wife, children, and mother. A group of friends and pastors from Germany joined us for this occasion, singing appropriate hymns and praying with us."

je pense tres souvent a toi a Bassel a Rayna et a Rayan et je prie continuellement que ce cauchemar se termine bientot et que votre vie reprendra normalement inchalla. Je ne sais quoi te dire sauf que je suis tres inquiete pour vous si je suis capable d' aider in any way pls let me know. Je t'embrasse tres fort ne perd pas l'espoir stay strong and have faith and hope we are all praying for Bassel love you Raife
