Basil remains hospitalised in Paris and his condition remains the same. Because the road to recovery will be long and progress slow, we will only update his health on the site when there are substantial changes to report.

Dear Yasma and family
All those who met Basil were struck by his humour, dedication and optimism.
Hang on Basil. You are one of a kind. Articulate men like you are badly needed in Lebanon. You are and will remain a great model for the kind of public servants that the Lebanese people long for to build a prosperous future.
Looking forward to celebrating your recovery.
